'Breath' director's next film to be a love story

Prominent female director of Iranian film ‘Breath’ says she plans to make a love story.

Narges Abyar’s planned film is tentatively titled ‘The Night When the Full Moon Was Seen’.

She is currently visiting cities in southern and western Iran to choose a location where the movie will be shot.

‘The Night When the Full Moon Was Seen’ is about a girl from a poor neighborhood in southern Tehran who falls in love with a boy. Meanwhile, the girl has to emigrate from Iran.

Abyar’s acclaimed movie ‘Breath’ was Iran’s submission to the 2018 Oscars.

She has gone on to win the Golden Wolf from the 20th Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia for best director for her ‘Breath’.

She also brought home an award for best director for the film at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival in 2017.
